THE PRODUCER
THE PRODUCER
We have worked with the Asproagro community in Lambayeque for many years now. The coffee is 100% from women producer members of Asproagro (which itself is a member of the second tier co-operative, CECANOR) and is certified as “Café Femenino.” This coffee is also an integral component of our classic Crow Tree blend.

FIELD
FAMILIAR FLAVOURS.
CAREFULLY CURATED
The women of the Asproagro Community are pioneering examples of female led, quality driven coffee production. A key producer partner, they provide coffee for many of our blends but each year we give them some well-deserved time in our Producer Series spotlight.
A classic washed process; the coffee cherries are hand-picked when ripe, then pulped, fermented, washed and sun-dried. We’re committed to supporting development projects and programmes in and around the individual villages that make up this community, including the construction of storage reservoirs.
Please note we only hold limited stock of these products, but we aim to roast at least two times a week (T&Cs apply)
How to brew
We normally lean toward filter brewing for the producer series as the method highlights the more complex and delicate flavours in lighter roasted coffee. As always, we default to the industry standard of 60g of coffee per litre of water as a starting point.
For espresso try a 1:2.5 brew ratio and shot times of around 24-30 seconds.
Tasting notes
Hazelnut, milk chocolate and red apple flavours with a buttery texture. A seasonally consistent coffee that makes a satisfying all-day filter brew. It also delivers a rich, rounded espresso coffee that marries perfectly with milk and non-dairy with nutty, milk chocolate notes.
