THE PRODUCER
THE PRODUCER
Luis Anibal explored specialty coffee production as a means to build a more secure future for him and his family. Now specialising in micro-lots of exotic varietals (Maragesha, Yirgacheffe, Ombligon, Gesha and this stunning Papayo) Luis and his farm Villa Betulia, based in Huila, are very much on the world map for exceptional coffees.

CLOUD
CREATIVE COFFEES FROM
PROGRESSIVE PRODUCERS.
Named after its unusual cherry shape that’s reminiscent of papaya fruit, Papayo arabica yields a unique and tropical cup profile. This micro-lot had a few days of aerobic fermentation before slow sun-drying, delivering exceptional, complex flavours.
Please note we only hold a limited stock of these products, but we aim to roast at least two times a week (T&Cs apply)
How to brew
We normally lean toward filter brewing for the producer series as the method highlights the more complex and delicate flavours in lighter roasted coffee. As always, we default to the industry standard of 60g of coffee per litre of water as a starting point.
Tasting notes
An immaculate, juicy and tropical coffee with a real depth of sweetness, orange and stone fruit flavours and a complex, luscious finish. A hint of florals on the nose and vibrant citrus flavours in the cup, this is perfect for soft brew techniques.
