THE PRODUCER
THE PRODUCER
Luis Anibal explored specialty coffee production as a means to build a more secure future for him and his family. Now specialising in micro-lots of exotic varietals (Maragesha, Yirgacheffe, Ombligon, Pink Bourbon, Gesha) Luis and his farm Villa Betulia, based in Huila, are very much on the world map for exceptional coffees.

CREATIVE COFFEES FROM
PROGRESSIVE PRODUCERS.
Chiroso is another exotic arabica with a complex, versatile cup profile that behaves like Caturra in the field but is thought to have Ethiopia landrace in its genetics. Ripe cherries are harvested and anaerobically fermented before slow-drying, presenting a juicy, floral and fruity coffee with a tangy finish.
Please note we only hold a limited stock of these products, but we aim to roast at least two times a week (T&Cs apply)
How to brew
We normally lean toward filter brewing for the producer series as the method highlights the more complex and delicate flavours in lighter roasted coffee. As always, we default to the industry standard of 60g of coffee per litre of water as a starting point.
Tasting notes
This is a juicy, effervescent and complex coffee with a lovely, coating mouthfeel, honeysuckle and plum aromatics and a deliciously fruity cup. Very suited to pour over, this is a satisfyingly sweet, tangy coffee with a hint of funkiness.
