Community Small Grants Programme 2024

by Admin

We are thrilled to re-launch our Community Small Grants Programme; this year now expanded to encompass all areas of Kirklees *

During 2024 we are inviting grass-roots community groups and organisations within the Kirklees area to apply for a share of the £10,000 we have made available. As a local business, we aim to support community activities and groups within the area, but we recognise that this can be a little hit-and-miss and unfocused.

Our Grants Programme is aimed at charities, not-for-profit organisations, and community groups within Kirklees, which are working for the benefit of the local community and the environment. We are allocating grants over the course of the year, to ensure that we can provide support across the seasons.

Groups can apply for grants between £100 and £500, and we have tried to make the application process, grant conditions and criteria as straightforward and accessible as we can. If you want to apply for a grant, please read our Eligibility Criteria and Terms & Conditions before you start to fill in the application form.

To apply for a grant, please use the application form. You can download the form below and fill it in within Word and email to us. Alternatively, you can print it off and fill it in by hand and post it to us.

If you have a question after you have read the guidance, Eligibility Criteria and Terms & Conditions, please email us at community@darkwoodscoffee.co.uk and we will get in touch with you. We have formulated some guidance notes / FAQs, which can be downloaded below and will hopefully answer most of your questions.

We kindly ask that you do not use social media to ask us about the grants programme. We cannot respond to queries via social media. Please email us.

We do not want to be prescriptive about the kind of things we will fund. Our main priority is to support local groups which may struggle to find other sources of funding, and which are making a real difference in the community or to the local environment.
